United Arab Emirates | AE | MOCCAE informs all the stakeholders about the reports published on the World Organization for Animal Health website, which indicate the end of hotspots of highly virulent avian influenza in Belgium. This allows the import process to resume, enhancing food security through diversifying import sources. In line with the Ministry’s strategic objectives, it has been decided the following: 1. Lifting the ban on the import of all types of live domestic and wild birds, ornamental birds, hatching eggs, day-old chicks, untreated poultry products (poultry meat and table eggs), and their untreated offal from Belgium, provided that the attached health certificate forms are adhered to. 2. Continue to allow the import of heat-treated poultry products (processed meat products and processed egg products) from Belgium within the health conditions stated in the approved health certificate forms. | 12 Mar 2024 |
