SPECIAL UPDATE related to COVID-19 & TACT Manuals:

IATA TACT has notified its customers that the June 2020 Edition of TACT Manual will not be printed and shipped.

TACT Manual customers can make use of a one-time limited time offer to receive free access to TACT Online.

Below is additional information:

1. Who is eligible for the free access to TACT Online?

The free TACT Online access is only available to existing TACT Manual customers.

2. I have TACT Online (or TACT eReader), can I get a free license?

No, the free TACT Online access is available only to existing TACT Manual customers as compensation for the fact that the TACT June Edition will not be printed.

In case you wish to have additional accesses to TACT Online, please contact our team through the form available here.

3. I have a TACT Manual, but I have not received any email from IATA about getting free access to TACT Online. What do I need to do to get my free access?

On April 20th, TACT Manual customers were directly emailed clarifying the process to get free access.

We have since sent several reminders to the recipients of the manuals or invoicing contact. 

Please check your spam/junk mail folder as it may have landed there.

Possibly our email address on file is incorrect or it reached a different colleague within your company.

Please log a case with our Customer Service team at and provide your latest contact details, subscription and/or relation number.

4. How soon will I get my access to TACT Online once I respond to the email from IATA?

Please allow about 2 - 4 working days for the verification and setup of your account. 

5. Will we have access to TACT Online training to familiarize ourselves with the functionalities?

Yes, a training session has been scheduled for May 28th - 10:00 CET.

6. When will the free access expire?

Free access will be available until October 1st, 2020.

By this date IATA expects global restrictions to be eased to allow the successful delivery of the October Edition of the TACT Manual.

Do you prefer extending the access to TACT Online and not receive the TACT Manuals October 2020 edition?

Please let us know as soon as possible, so that we can record the change in your account (please note this does not affect invoices that may be pending).

7. I need more users than indicated, how should I proceed?

8. My country is not affected by COVID-19, can I still receive the manuals?

No, the June Edition will not be printed.

IATA does expect global restrictions to be eased so that the October Edition of TACT Manual can be delivered as normal.

9. Can IATA reimburse part of my subscription if I do not wish to access TACT Online?

Considering the exceptional circumstances of the crisis, IATA would not be able to credit part of the subscription.

We believe the value of accessing real-time and more complete information through TACT Online will outweigh the temporary impact of not having the manuals available.

10. Is the IATA offer the same as the offer via FIATA?

Yes, there is only 1 offer. The offer applies only to existing TACT Manual subscribers.

General FAQ:

1. I haven’t received any email with my Username and Password to access TACT Online.

How can I get the login details?

  • If you have subscribed to TACT Online, you will receive a confirmation email with your login credentials (once payment has been received).
  • If you have already subscribed to TACT Online, received and paid your invoice but did not receive a confirmation email with login credentials (also check your junk/spam mail folders), please contact our Customer Service via Remember to always include your subscription number when you contact us.

2. I have forgotten my Password or Username, how do I reset it?

On the login page, click “Can’t access your account?” Enter your email address and a 4-digit Pin code of your choice, then click on “Request”. You will receive an email with a link in it. Click on the link in this email, enter the pin code you have provided and enter a new password for your account. Your account will be reset with a new password.



3. I cannot login with the login credentials. What shall I do now?

If you have a problem logging in with your credentials, try resetting your password.

Note: at the end of your subscription term (1 January - 31 December) your access to TACT Online will be automatically blocked if your subscription was cancelled or invoice has not been paid.

If you have renewed and paid for your subscription and still cannot access TACT Online, please contact our Customer Service via Remember to always include your subscription number when you contact us.

4. How to use TACT Online?

TACT Online is designed in a very user-friendly and intuitive way.  If you have any questions on how to use it, please refer to the Online Help by clicking Help on the menu bar on top of the webpage.

5. I have a question about my subscription. Who do I contact?

6. I would like to subscribe to TACT Online or other products. How do I order?

7. I am trying to login but receive an error: "Account already logged in". What should I do?

TACT Online subscription is a single-user license and does not permit the same account to be logged in multiple times.

If this happens, please ensure any other connection with TACT Online is logged out before logging in again.

10. Can I connect through a web service (API) to import TACT Rates into my own rates management system?

Yes, the TACT Tariffs API ("TACT Web Service") allows to connect your transport management system to the TACT platform and retrieve TACT Rates when you need them.

11. Can I connect through a web service (API) to import market and contract rates to my own rates management system?

Yes, IATA Net Rates allows you to connect your transport management system using a web service (API) to retrieve rates directly to your platform. For more information visit

12. Does IATA Net Rates work for General Sales Agents (GSAs)?

GSAs  can load rates on behalf of the airlines directly into the IATA Net Rates system.

13. Are worldwide rates available via IATA Net Rates?

Yes. The Net Rates system offers airlines the possibility to load and publish all rates, regardless of origin or destination.

14. Can shippers see the rates in IATA Net Rates?

Customers procuring cargo directly with the airlines can get access to their own contracted rates.

15. Can forwarders see airline names in IATA Net Rates?

Yes. All rates are listed by carrier.

16. How are confidential rates treated in IATA Net Rates?

Contracted rates between two parties are flagged as such and are only transmitted to the respective forwarder account.

17. Does IATA Net Rates show additional information from the airlines, like size/weight restrictions, routing, etc.?

Yes, airlines can show all kinds of restrictions in IATA Net Rates, but the actual information displayed depends on what the airline wants to show. In general, forwarders should receive all the information and rates that are needed to pick the product that is best-suited to their needs.

18. In IATA Net Rates, does the displayed rate mean there’s space available on the aircraft?

Space availability or guarantees are subject, but not limited to the airlines terms and conditions of the rates displayed, or specific contractual space allotments.

19. What are the steps for my airline to integrate my rates into IATA Net Rates?
